Interreg V-A Programme Euregio Meuse-Rhine – COVID-19 Support (EMRCOVID)

Euregio Interreg

At a meeting between the deputy states on 19 May it was decided to add additional grant rules to the Interreg V-A programme Euregio Meuse-Rhine, with a ceiling of just over €4 million.

Aim

The aim of this addition is to increase emergency response capacity in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine region (i.e., Limburg, south-eastern North Brabant, and parts of Belgium and Germany) in view of the current corona crisis. It concerns cross-border initiatives in the following sectors:

  • Health
  • Public safety
  • Public security services
  • Public administration
  • Social services

Applications can be made from May 28 until June 8 (4 p.m.) to the Province of Limburg.

Conditions

  • The results of the project should be to the benefit of citizens and organisations in the region.
  • The project must be cross-border in nature: Partnerships must include at least two legal entities from two different Member States in the region.
  • The maximum duration of the project is 12 months.

Who Can Submit?

A legal entity within the region that acts as lead partner of the consortium.

Eligible Costs

Max. 90% of eligible costs. 

Evaluation Criteria

  • Partnerships and their cross-border character.
  • Projects contribute to the objectives and results of the programme (see also the sectors described above).
  • Feasibility, coherence, and sustainability (i.e., sustainability of project results after the end of the project).
  • Budgeting must clearly deliver value for money.
