Evers + Manders Grant Advisors (E+M) has made a good start in 2022. A nice appreciation for the work of our advisors, that investments in the scientific sector and Life Sciences are paying off, both within Horizon Europe and NWO. Our clients, supported by various E+M project teams, can look forward to a total of €31 million to realise their ambitions. Despite the strong competition, for a large number of applications everything fell into place.
Just before Christmas, E+M celebrated the award of the innovation grant EIC Transition (€2.5 million) and the success within Horizon Europe continues into 2022. Two research projects have been awarded within the European framework programme Horizon Europe Health: €10 million within Destination 1 – “Staying healthy in a rapidly changing society” (coordinator: Maastricht University) and €6 million for a project in Destination 3 – “Tackling disease and reducing the burden of disease” (coordinator: Leiden University Medical Centre). Added to these great results at the end of March was an EIC Pathfinder Challenge for Utrecht University Medical Centre. This instrument focuses on bold ideas for radically new technologies and is highly competitive.
Our clients also benefited from the NWO instruments. In previous years, many successes were achieved and this positive trend continues in 2022 with two scores from Leiden coordinators. A thematic call provided a consortium with €1 million. NWA-ORC awarded €10 million for a large-scale project with strong social impact.
Expanding our team
Our portfolio is already well filled for the second quarter of 2022 and we notice that one success attracts the other. E+M wants to continue to grow and will further implement its strategic plan this year. In order to do so, we have a number of attractive vacancies for grant advisors.
