LIFE@Urban Roofs and the Rotterdam Roof Tops: Rotterdam has been working on greening its roofs since 2008. The aim is to make the city more climate proof and liveable. The LIFE-regulation was originally intended for the improvement of the environment and nature, but since a few years it has also been possible to receive grants for projects that focus on climate change. For Rotterdam, this was a great opportunity.
