My hobby is wine tasting. I regularly visit a wine tasting. The challenge with wine tasting is to form an opinion about the wine in different ways. What do you see? What do you smell? What do you taste? Good perception and depth are the magic words.
This is also the analogy with grant advice. In order to give good grant advice, we think it is important to first listen to our client. Where does our client want to go? What is important? And how can the innovative project contribute optimally to this and also receive a grant? Only then do we give our opinion, in the form of well-considered grant advice.
